ASPIRING STARS SAMPLER QUILT

JANUARY THROUGH JUNE 2021

(TUESDAY/THURSDAY SERIES)

Will meet virtually the third Tuesday and Thursday of each Month (one exception June will be the second Tuesday/Thursday), from 5:30pm-9pm Eastern. This is in real time and it is designed to be an interactive workshop.

  • January 19th and 21st
  • February 16th and 18th
  • March 16th and 18th
  • April 20th and 22nd
  • May 18th and 20th
  • June 8th and 10th (2nd Tues/Thurs)

Note: Key lessons will be recorded and available for viewing after the 2nd workshop.

Each month, you will receive step-by-step virtual instruction, via Zoom, for two Blocks.

Monthly Block Patterns

  • On the day of class, you will be able to download or view your Block instructions online.
  • The Block patterns are for your use only, they are not transferable, but will be printable.

Additionally, there will be a pre-workshop that is online, which we will provide downloadable cutting instructions and a video lesson on cutting tips for that month’s Blocks.

  • The pre-workshop lessons will be released 7 days prior to the Virtual Workshop
  • Release dates: Tuesdays: 1/12, 2/9, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11, 6/1
  • You can view and complete the pre-cutting anytime during that week.
  • The expectation is that you come to the virtual workshop pre-cut and ready for stitching. 😊

Four Quilt setting options are available.

  • Online lessons will be released for all Quilt settings, in June.
  • You can choice whichever setting you would like to make; all the blocks are the same*.
  • Quilt settings have different finishing units and instructions.
  • Instructions for all settings will be provided.
  • *Note: The on-point settings require one extra Block, your choice!
  • Just a thought! You could make a second set of blocks, after each virtual workshop, and make a second quilt!

Fabric requirements will be given for the blocks and the different Quilt setting options on Saturday, December 12th.

  • At this time, it is estimated that it will take about 30 Fat Quarters, plus Background and Border. We are double checking that as well as determining the yardage for the different quilt settings.

This course is closed for enrollment.
